I love the Dirt! and I'm writing in reference to recycling flower pots. I thought people should be aware that there are several places in the Portland metro area which also accept nursery pots.

Following is a list, but please CALL FIRST to double-check what they are accepting:

REUSE:

*Accepts 1-gallon or larger flower pots for reuse.

*Accepts CLEAN, UNBROKEN plastic nursery pots, 1-gallon and larger for reuse.
Definitely Call First.

3) Portland Habilitation Center

*Accepts plastic nursery pots, 2" to 20-gallon in size, which are in reusable
condition. RESIDENTIAL quantities only.

RECYCLING:

1) Lamb's Wilsonville Thriftway

Hours: Last Saturday of every month, 9am-4pm

*Take #2 and #5 flower pots. Must be clean.
